The Book

Sei febbraio 1988, ore 10.00.

The stories told in this book have a common subject: drug addiction.
The authors have taken advantage of their privileged viewpoint – they are doctors in a public drug addiction assistance centre – to tell some stories of drug addicts.
They have chosen from their archive those cases that best exemplify drug addiction, and the result is a portrait gallery in which they present true episodes, or in some cases let the subjects speak for themselves. Some stories are told in a light, nearly gay style, others strike a serious and bitter vein. All have to do with the ordinariness of drug addiction; that condition that can overtake anyone reckless enough to try an addictive drug thinking he can use it without being overtaken by the consequences.
